Vegan Food: Linda McCartney launch four new vegan products

Back in November 2015, Linda McCartney took an exciting step forward by reformulating their veggie quarter pounder burger, removing the egg and making it suitable for vegans. It was a sign, as if we needed one, that finally brands are starting to listen to consumers in our demand for more vegan products. They have just gone a step further and have added not one, not two, not three, but FOUR new exciting vegan goodies to their range. We'd go as far as to say that the number of vegan products in the range are now in the majority, not the minority. Might we be bold enough to foresee an entirely vegan Linda McCartney range in the not too very distant future? We certainly hope so!

The new vegan friendly products that have recently launched in Morrisons and other selected high street retailers are:

  1. Vegetarian Shredded 'Duck'
  2. Vegetarian Chorizo and Red Pepper sausages
  3. Vegetarian 'Beef' Burrito mix
  4. Vegetarian Pulled 'Chicken'
We can't wait to try these out!

Don't forget to tweet us or Instagram @thevegankind us using the hashtag #thevegankind - we'd love to know what you think of the new additions to the Linda family.

You can also catch us on Snapchat @TheVeganKind - come and say hi.

Love,

I was excited to see these but I think they have wheat/gluten in them, which is no good for me, as a celiac. Please correct me if I’m wrong !

We are vegans but cannot understand why the products are named pulled chicken, shredded duck, as vegans we avoid eating chicken and duck, maybe it could be called an alternative. Just the name makes us feel like we are eating it!! Thanks

This is for Caroline and Julian…
    DON’T BE RIDICULOUS.
It is labelled as such so people know what to expect in the packet.
IF JUST THE WORDS CHICKEN OR DUCK PUT YOU OFF THEN YOU NEED TO GET A GRIP.

I’m with Caroline and Julian here….I could never as a committed vegan, consume something with names like this and dont understand how anyone claiming to be vegan, would either. Just why emulate the stuff you want to ditch for ethical reasons….

I love Linda McCartneys products but I don’t understand why they name them the same as meat dishes. I wouldn’t buy them for this reason.

Fantastic to see, but as I have NCGS I’ll only be able to eat the sausages.
More vegan and gluten free products please.

All this comments about if is duck or beef-chicken…….would not buy it ! -from someone who’ve just committed to not eat meat, after years of doing so! is in a way very helpful this labelling!- … all is in your head, and that all of us can change by accepting anything that will help us change the way we consume -after all -I want to eat something that may taste or be similar to the things I used to eat, appreciate the product and be glad that we are changing this world !
