Greggs prepares to expand its home delivery service nationwide following a successful trial.
Fans of vegan baked goods, including the vegan sausage roll and steak bake, will be able to enjoy their favourite snacks delivered straight to their door.
The bakery chain decided to join forces with Just Eat for its food delivery service.
Greggs was testing Just Eat alongside rivals Deliveroo and Uber Eats in several cities last year. The Bakery chains said that it had decided to work exclusively with Just Eat and will begin to roll out delivery this week.
The company is launching the new service first in Bristol and Birmingham.
The service will be expanded in the spring to more cities, including Manchester, Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham.
Greggs plans to achieve national coverage by the end of the year.
Greggs chief executive Roger Whiteside said: ‘We know from the trials we have carried out that our customers love the idea that they can get Greggs delivered directly to their door.’
Andrew Kenny, Just Eat UK’s managing director, added: ‘Greggs has proved extremely popular with our customers, especially during breakfast.’
