American plant-based food startup JUST has announced it will launch its new product soon.
The vegan egg product will appear in the frozen section at 5 000 supermarkets across the US in April.
The new offering is a fluffy, folded vegan egg omelette made with its mung bean-based JUST Egg.
The omelletes will be available in a pack of four for a suggested retail price of $4.99.
The product will also be available to restaurants and other food service providers. It was designed to be used in breakfast dishes, sandwiches and toasts, toppings for salads and other options.
JUST Egg has sold the vegan equivalent of 20 million eggs since its debut in 2018.
The vegan eggs are available in major US supermarkets such as Walmart, Kroger, and Costco and food service providers, including college campuses, resorts, amusement parks, and fast-food chains.
