Animal rights charity Mercy For Animals is hosting a two-day concert online.
“Voices of Compassion” concert will live stream on the charity's Facebook page on April 11 and April 12 starting at 5 pm EST.
Thirty musicians who are all animal-rights activists will perform at the concert.
The list of singers includes Grammy Award winners Joss Stone and Sie7e, Broadway’s Frozen star Ryan McCartan, Fuller House star Juan Pablo Di Pace, American Idol star Catie Turner, sister of actor Joaquin Phoenix singer-songwriter Rain Phoenix, and many others.
The charity aims to bring the animal-rights community together during the coronavirus crisis.
Mercy For Animals President Leah Garcés said:
“Mercy For Animals is proud to collaborate with talented and compassionate artists to inspire hope as we navigate this challenging and uncertain time,”
Last month, Mercy For Animals purchased 2,000 vegan meals in restaurants in New York and donated them to the inhabitants of Brooklyn through its “Plants to the People” initiative. The help was organised in partnership with hunger-relief organisation Community Solidarity and vegan Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adam.
