Fast-food giant KFC announced yesterday that its Vegan Burger is coming back to UK restaurants next week.
KFC launched the vegan burger for the first time during Veganuary. It was reported that over a million was sold during the first month.
Later, the chain removed the item from the menu when re-opened with a reduced menu after lockdown.
Starting next week, 73 of the KFC restaurants across the UK will be offering the vegan burger again. More location will join the list in the coming weeks.
Commenting on the re-launch of the sandwich, KFC spokesperson said: "Our vegan and flexitarian fans were sadly denied their favourite meat-free treat during lockdown, but now it's back, and it's time to celebrate.
"Our kitchen teams have been working hard to adapt to the new safety measures in restaurants, but we reckon now is the right time to unleash one of our fan favourites.
"We can't wait to reunite with our vegan friends – we've missed you!"
