Pizza chain Domino’s announced sales growth of nearly 19 percent in the third quarter of the year and said the customers’ response to its vegan pizzas is ‘very encouraging.’
Domino’s released two vegan pizzas last month - Vegan Margherita and Vegan Vegi Supreme following a ‘successful’ trial.
The Vegan Margherita includes tomato sauce, Domino’s vegan cheese alternative, and diced tomatoes alongside Domino’s unique herb blend.
The Vegan Vegi Supreme features mushrooms, green and red peppers, sweetcorn and onions. The pizzas can be ordered with a vegan version of Domino’s Garlic & Herb dip.
The company said in the statement: “We were delighted to launch our new vegan-friendly pizzas nationally in September…
“This launch follows over a year of development to ensure the freshly made vegan dough replicates the unmistakable Domino’s taste millions of fans know and love, together with Domino’s very own vegan cheese alternative.
“Customer response to our new vegan pizzas has been very encouraging.”
