The Coconut Collaborative Launched Their First Oat Yogurt

by Agi Kaja

So long, coconut! Hello oats!

Popular British plant-based food brand The Coconut Collaborative is no longer about coconuts! The company has just launched its first ever 'oatgurt'.

The new Oat Yog has been developed to deliver a great tasting breakfast yogurt option which is dairy-free, high in fibre, and great for the gut.

Unlike other oat yogurts on the market, the product is made using traditional methods with oat m*lk and live bacteria. The oat milk is fermented in the same way as a dairy product, rather than using acidifiers. Oat Yog does not contain any sugar which makes it a perfect for those who count calories.

This delicious yogurt can be served with granola, cereals, fresh fruit and can be used for overnight oats - an ideal breakfast meal full of healthy prebiotics.

The Coconut Collaborative is the #1 premium, free from dairy brand in the UK. The company was founded in 2014 by James Averdieck on a mission to spread the coco-love far and wide.

"It sounds cliché, but I was actually on holiday, sat underneath a coconut palm when I thought of the idea. I wanted to prove that dairy-free doesn’t mean a compromise on taste, and honestly, what better way to prove that than through the mighty coconut. We want to break-through any misconceptions and showcase that plant-based can be delicious, good for you and good for the planet simultaneously." he said.

The Oat Yog is now available in TheVeganKind Supermarket at a special price £2.39.
