Magnum Vegan Sea Salt Caramel was awarded Best Ice Cream at the 2021 PETA Vegan Food Awards.
It's not the first time the iconic plant-based ice cream was recognised by PETA. Magnum Vegan Classic and Magnum Vegan Almond flavours won the award in 2019.
Announcing the news the brand wrote on its Instagram profile: "Vegan Sea Salt Caramel has just been named Best Vegan Ice Cream at the @PETA Vegan Food Award 2021, joining 2019 winners Classic and Almond."
Following the awards news the brand revealed it was developing more vegan ice creams.
It said: "We’re launching more plant-based products to create a future-fit ice cream portfolio that helps reduce the environmental impact of the global food supply chain."
Magnum is one of the most popular most popular ice cream brands in the UK. It is available in supermarkets, newsagents, petrol stations and in all Odeon cinemas.
Unilever launched its first vegan Magnum in 2018. The food giant has been investing a lot in plant-based category in recent years. The company plans to reach €1 billion in plant-based sales till 2025.
