Popular plant-based brand The Coconut Collaborative debuts Cr*me Fraiche vegan alternative to transform cooking in Britain.
The vegan gluten-free version crème fraîche is mild and creamy, just like the real thing. Made with live cultures, it can be used for cooking and baking. It's perfect for creamy soups, dips, pasta sauces and different kind of cakes.
The company says the versatility of its plant-based crème fraîche allows vegans to rediscover the joys of creamy food without using dairy.
“We were seeing more and more of our customers experimenting with our Natural Coconut Yog in savoury dishes, and for many dishes like curries, it’s perfect. However, the feedback we were getting was that it’s not quite right for all cuisines, so we went back to the drawing board,” said James Averdieck, founder and managing director of The Coconut Collaborative.
The Coconut Collaborative Cr*me Fraiche alternative will be available in stores from 5 July.
